Academy of Contemporary Music -masterclass in Luzern, Switzerland

Back in 2019, when we wouldn’t believe that a catastrophic event, like a pandemic, could shake our entire existences, I met a highly skilled composer and a very charismatic human being, both in one person, Dieter Ammann. Back then I was still affraid to spread my wings and to dare doing the things that I have done more recently and his music having jazz flavors was something that helped me questioning the preciousness of so called high music. When I told him this, he was very warm and friendly and we decided to keep in touch. Years later, after we stayed in touch especially on social media, back in the summer he recommended me to apply to the contemporary music he and his colleagues are doing in Luzern, Switzerland. So I did and it was the best decision I did so far this year. Besides having the chance to work with him, I also met Sarah Nemtsov, an amazing German composer and such a delicate human being who through her words encouraged me without even knowing that. The two other mentors, Francesca Verunelli and Nadir Vassena were friendly and helping. Another important thing in a masterclass is the other students and here I met some quality people and very skilled musicians with whom I spent some unforgettable days (and nights!) that I look forward meeting again.
